SAP America, Inc. seeks a Product Marketing Sr. Manager at our Chicago, IL location to act as a Subject Matter Expert in the product area by possessing a deep understanding of the product area total addressable market (TAM). Represent the product area value & vision to customers, partners, and analysts. Define the Market Opportunity Map for your product area and the creation of the Winning Plan, working in close partnership with Chief Product Officer and Chief Revenue Officer teams. Identify and connect innovations built across multiple product teams. Influence the Build/Buy/Partner strategy to maximize SAP's growth. Own the product / feature release announcement process, and communications for your product area including value positioning and messaging framework, branding and public roadmap and website updates. Determine under-performing product offerings that should be sunset and partner with the Chief Product Officer and Chief Revenue Officer to exit products. Collaborate in defining or leading the packaging, pricing, and licensing plans for your product. Contribute to the creation of product packages that span across or seed into multiple product/solution areas. Evaluate and approve customer and partner incentives. Lead the annual marketing planning process for your area and determine the marketing mix and tactics. Serve as the business owner for Tier 1 SAP events and 3rd party Industry events. Ensure excellence in the customer journey content, programs, and resources for your product area. Collaborate with Marketing & Solutions discipline teams to ensure quality, consistency, and completeness of content, approve new programs and resources to maximize customer engagement and ensure the availability of hero customer stories. Contribute to planning Integrated Demand Programs (IDPs) and monitor Demand Generation KPIs to adjust. Own product communications to all external audiences and serve as a leading spokesperson and evangelist for engagement with analyst, press, customer, partners, and community groups. Lead collaboration across marketing to define and deliver sales enablement content for your product area. Build open, honest relationships with senior-level peers and share feedback from these peers with own department staff. Manage managers of teams or organizations. Guide in setting objectives and development plans, review performance, and provide feedback on a regular cadence. Support employees' career aspirations and facilitate the transition of employees into their desired roles. Conduct Performance and Reward Management processes. Manage the employee life cycle by actively participating in recruitment selection, performance, succession planning, development, and transition activities. Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field of study and ten (10) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field of study and eight (8) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Experience must involve four (4) years of experience in each of the following: Designing, implementing, and testing technology solutions Analyzing business requirements and developing technical specifications Leading and executing strategic projects such as digital transformations and merger integrations Developing product strategy and roadmap based on market trends, competitive landscape, and customer requirements Position requires at least one (1) year of experience in each of the following: Defining marketing plan and campaign to drive adoptions of software products Developing and executing account-specific business development plan Designing market specific growth plan for software products Position requires up to 20% domestic and international travel to various unanticipated customer sites and SAP offices for business meetings. The annual base salary range for this position is $244,350 - $415,425. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP's commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $325,800 - $553,900. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
