This is a full-time Business Intelligence Analyst I/II position located in Jackson, MS. The Business Intelligence Analyst within Business Intelligence and Enterprise Performance Management provides reporting and analytics support through enterprise-wide business intelligence and analytic software solutions. This position will be responsible for the synthesis of information from multiple data sources into sophisticated BI solutions. Analyst may often lead cross functional projects with multiple stakeholders to achieve the desired BI solution. Analyst should be proficient in requirements gathering, data modelling, data mining, and BI solution development in support of highly visible, complex, multi-workstream operational processes. Customers are often Line of Business senior and executive management. Analyst must be able to work in a team and individual setting managing multiple priorities with very little management oversight. Technical proficiency is required in Excel, SQL, OBIEE, Cognos, Power BI or similar with exposure to other data governance and data management tools. Analyst must also have a willingness to learn additional reporting and business intelligence software. This position may be filled as a Level I or II. Responsibilities: Analyze data, build models, test hypotheses, find root causes, develop prototypes, forecast performance, create reports, write SQL queries, conduct A/B tests, generate insights, present findings, make specific and actionable recommendations, and influence business decisions Proactively identify and surface opportunities to increase efficiency and improve our business processes, conversion rates, revenue generation, and efficiency across Trustmark and your assigned business function Work with Data Analysts, Business Analysts, Report Developers, Business Intelligence Analysts, Team Leads, and other leaders across the broader Analytics Center of Excellence to empower data-backed decision-making at all levels of the company. Interface with executive stakeholders to prioritize and present work and to meet expectations for timelines, accuracy, quality, and overall business impact. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required. 2 to 4 years of corporate analysis experience, with strong excel spreadsheet skills required. Must pass Intermediate level Excel test. Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders throughout organization. Possess strong analytical and quantitative skills that fuel your passion for identifying and investigating patterns and trends. Working knowledge of probability and statistics, experience with process improvement is a plus. Resourcefull. Adaptable. Ownership. Quality. Ability to meet deadlines. High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive, confidential situations and information. 1-3 years Banking experience preferred. Project and Operations Management experience preferred. Knowledge of Hyperion Essbase and reporting tools or similar software preferred. Knowledge of PeopleSoft Rel 9.2 suite of products including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Asset Management, Project Costing, Supplier Contract Management, eProcurement, Purchasing, and Travel and Expenses or similar ERP software preferred. Knowledge of OBIEE, Power BI, Cognos, or other business intelligence dashboard tools preferred. Knowledge of SQL, R, Python, HTML, XML, CSS, or similar skills preferred. Knowledge of data warehouse and data governance preferred. Knowledge of Oracle Data Integrator or other ETL tools and processes related to staging data sets preferred. Data Analytics or similar certification preferred. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse, while viewing computer screens.
