BIOVIA is looking for a motivated Technical Support Engineer to join our team in San Diego, CA. This role is for a client-focused Technical Support Engineer with a solid technical prowess to provide post-sales support for our enterprise software solutions.
BIOVIA, a brand of DASSAULT SYSTEMES supports industries and organizations that rely on scientific innovation to differentiate themselves. Our customer base includes the worlds largest pharmaceutical, biotechnology, biologics, medical device, and contract manufacturing/research organizations.
This role primarily focuses on handling support requests from customers who need help with our commercial enterprise software products. Our support model allows our support engineers to work directly with customers providing technical support for post-deployment issues. BIOVIA Technical Support Engineers play an essential role in our customers success by quickly responding to customer service requests, documenting updates to customer issues in service request management tools, and working with R&D to improve the quality of BIOVIA software. To be successful in this role, applicants must be excellent communicators in the English language, with a desire to learn, possess an analytical mindset, and a penchant for helping customers. Ultimately, you will support our reputation as a company providing excellent quality product support to our BIOVIA customers.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a Life Sciences related domain is preferred 3-4 years of prior experience delivering technical support for enterprise software. Be an avid problem solver with a strong desire to be in a customer-facing role. Have the ability to work independently or in small teams.
Demonstrable experience in any/all of the following technology areas would be a distinct advantage:
BIOVIA product, life science industry, or chemistry/biology laboratory domain experience SQL script creation and Oracle Database administration Microsoft Windows Server system administration and Active Directory Web server and networking technologies, such as Apache Tomcat or Microsoft IIS with SSL/TLS certificates TCP/IP and network topology knowledge, including load balancers, routers, etc. Citrix XenApp or similar virtualization software
Compensation for this role will be commensurate with experience. The total expected compensation range will be between $70,000 and $90,000, representing the base salary (or annualized salary based on estimated hourly compensation) and target bonus.

Compensation & Benefits
Dassault Systmes offers an excellent salary with potential for bonus, commensurate with experience.
