Candidates who are not eligible for a DoD clearance are not eligible for hire. Solidus is searching for a Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD). This position is remote. The Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Engineer will help manage and design AVD solutions supporting 60+ developer groups employing cutting-edge technology stacks. The AVD Engineer will be tasked with implementing, managing, and optimizing AVDs and Virtual Machines (VM), while driving speed & capability enhancements for our warfighters. Day In The Life Architecting & managing secure, high availability systems, adhering to industry standards and following best practices Implementing, managing, & optimizing AVD solutions in CI/CD pipelines Designing & implementing approaches to continuously update & secure AVD resources Developing scripts to automate tasks and deployments in a cloud environment Documenting systems and processes for capability growth and improved team collaboration Learning and adapting to new Azure cloud resources, with opportunities for formal training Required Qualifications US Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret-level Security Clearance Undergo comprehensive background investigation 4+ years of experience in Azure and AVD technologies or similar Virtual Desktop solutions Experience with Windows Installer technologies and implementation of shared VM resources Experience architecting & designing Azure-based solutions Understanding of high-availability environments such as clustering, failover, and geographic redundancy Understanding of network design & topologies including edge services & point-to-point VPNs within cloud environs Preferred Qualifications Microsoft Azure, AWS, RHEL, and/or Windows Server certification(s) Proficient with a scripting programming language like Bash, Python, or PowerShell Proficient with Configuration Management techniques using Ansible Experience with managed Anti-virus tools like McAfee and Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator Familiarization with Secure Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) implementation Atlassian Tools Suite experience (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo and Bitbucket) What We Will Bring Solidus offers you an exciting opportunity to tackle the nation’s greatest challenges applying innovation and expertise to produce cutting-edge results that have a long-lasting impact. The salary for this position is estimated to be between $120,000-$185,000 Customer contractual specifications, relevant work experience, skills, competencies and certifications, clearance status, and benefit selections will influence the final salary.
