PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a Computing Architect 4 in Dallas, TX. This role is a deep SAP Technical Lead position with the IT Supply Chain COE Master Data Governance (SC COE MDG) team. A successful candidate will need to show excellent architectural skills as this position will focus on working directly with the global distributed teams of functional analysts, developers, and business to drive data management strategy for master data from various heterogeneous systems to SAP ecosystem including SAP S/4, ECC, MDG, GTS across all business units within the company. This role also demands an individual with great collaboration and communication skills and the ability to drive and help the team to resolve complex issues to bring projects home. Collaborates with others to identify, evaluate and document complex computing requirements. Lead IT SC COE Master data strategy, guide design, build & test of MDG processes and provide technical leadership for utilizing industry standard and SAP best practices with automation mindset. Position responsibilities include: Collaborating with the SC EDM team members to generate ideas and improve our organizations product maturity, service architecture and solution delivery. Leading the design and implementation of scalable, enterprise wide master data governance solutions. Serving as the solutioning lead for SAP MDG across multiple projects, defining and enforcing architectural standards. Defining and driving the enterprise Master data strategy, aligning with business and IT objectives. Designing and reviewing solutions across all MDG data domains, including Material, Customer, Supplier, and Finance. Guiding both functional and technical teams throughout the full implementation lifecycle. Reviewing and providing feedback on Functional Design Documents, Configuration Rational Documents and other key deliverables. Bringing hands-on experience from multiple SAP MDG implementations, with a strong focus on data model design and governance workflows. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including data migration, business process owners, and enterprise architects. Demonstrating in-depth understanding of the SAP MDG framework, including data modeling, FPM, BRF+, validations, and derivations. Mentoring teams on the MDG Consolidation process and strategies for handling high volume data harmonization. Providing architecture and solution design for data replication to SAP and non-SAP systems using DRF and related integration tools. Basic qualifications (required skills/experience) include: Minimum 8 years experience as an architect in SAP Technical Bachelors degree or Masters Degree Experience in large SAP conversion project in multiple domains and functional areas Experience in Master data management and hands-on implementation from an architect perspective Deep understanding of SAP Ecosystem including not limited to SAP S4, MDG, GTS etc. Experience in designing, implementing, and executing data transformation/conversion projects to S/4HANA environments Understand/execute SAP Best practices for Data Migration Cockpit for SAP Master & Transaction Data Expertise in technical solution analysis and definition in large complex SAP solution landscape Ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization including business and IT Preferred qualifications: Excellent skills in SQL and ETL tools Excellent understanding of the SAP S/4HANA & MDG data models Strong understanding of the SAP Activate Methodology Proficient in Data Management Principles and Master Data Education / Experience: Technical bachelors degree and typically 9 or more years related work experience or a Masters degree with typically 7 or more years or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study. Benefits offered to vary by the contract.
