Role: Solutions Architect (Pre-Sales) The client is looking for a Solution Engineer / Solutions Architect with strong pre-sales experience to help guide clients through the journey of modernizing their data infrastructure. This role bridges technical expertise and client engagement, supporting the full sales lifecycle from initial discovery through delivery scoping and expansion opportunities. Key Responsibilities Lead technical discussions from early sales conversations through post-sale client success efforts Clearly articulate the value of the company’s core offerings: Data Engineering, Machine Learning Engineering, and Managed Services Guide customers through architecture reviews, proof of concepts, and strategic roadmaps for data platform modernization Support business development efforts by crafting solution approaches and defining Statement of Work (SOW) deliverables in collaboration with account executives and delivery teams Act as a technical advisor during sales engagements and ensure a smooth transition to delivery Represent the firm at industry events and contribute to its thought leadership through public speaking, meetups, or blog content Ensure long-term client satisfaction and foster deeper account growth Required Experience 5+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect or Senior Data Engineer, including work with cloud-native data platforms Demonstrated experience performing data migrations in enterprise environments, particularly to platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, or Databricks Strong command of both Python and SQL, with the ability to build and optimize complex data pipelines and distributed queries Background in professional services or consulting, with experience delivering data platform solutions to external clients Proven success in pre-sales engagements, including client workshops, solution design, and SOW creation Strong interpersonal and stakeholder communication skills, able to build trusted relationships across business and technical teams Experience planning and scoping large-scale data initiatives Willingness to travel 20-30% for client meetings and workshops (West Coast) Why Join?
