Would you like to do this using the latest cloud computing technologies? Do you have a knack for helping groups understand application architectures and integration approaches, and the consultative and leadership skills to launch a project on a trajectory to success? Amazon Web Services is looking for a Solutions Architect to help accelerate our Education Technology (EdTech) business as part of the World Wide Public Sector practice. This role involves working with EdTech organizations to implement cloud solutions, owning technical engagements, defining architectures, and developing deep expertise in AWS technologies. You will provide technical design and leadership in the EdTech markets, collaborate with sales and business teams, and share best practices within the AWS community. The position offers opportunities to learn from top industry minds and develop your career within a leading tech company. Preference is given to candidates on the East Coast of the United States, with other locations considered. Up to 30% travel may be required. Key responsibilities include: Executing strategic technical account plans for platform adoption. Engaging with customers to qualify and validate sales opportunities. Evangelizing AWS solutions through public speaking and thought leadership. Documenting best practices to accelerate deployments. Conducting technical enablement sessions. Capturing customer feedback for platform evolution. About the Team Our EdTech SouthEast Team is part of the NAMER WWPS EdTech group, comprising six Solutions Architects working across seven territories, serving ISVs providing SaaS products to educational institutions. The work involves guiding migration projects, modernization efforts, and leveraging GenAI technologies, with a seasonal rhythm aligned with the school year. Basic Qualifications 2+ years of experience in applications and infrastructures design, implementation, or consulting. 4+ years in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, or security. 10+ years in IT development or consulting in the software or Internet industries. Preferred Qualifications Experience in software development or Internet industries. Experience migrating legacy solutions to the cloud. The salary range varies by geographic location, with a base pay from $118,200 to $204,300 annually, plus potential additional compensation and benefits.
