Job Description
Manufacturer of Silicone Molds and extruding equipment for the Medical Industry.

Summary
Applies knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures to program, set up, and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts, molds, fixtures, and jigs. May also fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Utilize advanced machining techniques to fabricate intricate components and molds according to engineering specifications.
- Interpret technical blueprints, sketches, and CAD models to determine optimal machining methods and tooling requirements.
- Utilize a range of CNC and manual machining equipment, ensuring precision, efficiency, and safety in all operations.
- Program CAM software to machine parts on CNC mill.
- Complete complex setups, adjustments, and CNC programming to achieve superior quality and accuracy in part and mold production.
- Conduct meticulous inspections of finished products using high-precision measurement instruments to ensure adherence to tight tolerances and quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and design teams, providing valuable insights on manufacturability, tooling design, and process optimization.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubricating machines, tools, and equipment to maintain optimal performance.
- Fit and assemble parts to make or repair machine tools, demonstrating precision and attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems, electrical wiring, lubrication, and cooling systems is beneficial.
- Conduct mold maintenance activities, including disassembly, cleaning, refurbishment, and reassembly
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure work environment for oneself and others, including proper handling of machinery, tools, and materials, and participation in regular safety training programs.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical certifications or trade school education preferred.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion360).
- Proficiency in operating a wide array of CNC and manual machining equipment, including programming, setup, and troubleshooting.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds routinely and perform physical tasks as required by machining processes.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documents, including safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Strong reasoning ability with the capacity to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to thrive both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
