What you will do: In this vital role supporting Amgen Technology, you will focus on providing business analysis and solution development support for our Product and Portfolio Management (PPM) business partners to drive Amgen’s innovation, product strategies, and portfolio analysis in drug discovery. You will support Amgen’s business critical, cross functional processes through creative technology solutions to accelerate and grow Amgen’s pipeline of biopharmaceuticals. Responsibilities include configuring and administering Planisware system for portfolio, project, and resource management, resource forecasting algorithms, scenario models, and Planisware Explorer (PEX) reporting; creating and managing knowledge for the Planisware platform; partnering with vendor resources; evaluating and advising business processes supporting PPM; shaping technology portfolio; reviewing requirements; providing technical write-ups; collaborating with engineering teams; ensuring communication between business, technical staff and vendors; conducting analysis and business case development; providing data analysis and solution architecting; supporting operations, development and maintenance; partnering with business and technology teams to document requirements; supporting custom development and system enhancements; analyzing and testing program development; supporting user acceptance testing; supporting global PPM projects; identifying risks and dependencies. Qualifications: Doctorate degree or Master’s degree with 2 years IS experience or Bachelor’s degree with 4 years IS experience or Associate’s degree with 8 years IS experience or High school diploma/GED with 10 years IS experience. Preferred qualifications include Bachelor’s degree in IS, Computer Science, Business, Engineering or Life Sciences; excellent organizational and communication skills; experience with COTS applications in life sciences; biotech/pharmaceutical industry experience; ability to deliver innovative solutions; ownership and responsibility; deep business domain understanding; intellectual curiosity; troubleshooting skills; partnership with software engineers; understanding of system engineering, design, risk, security, architecture; knowledge of software development lifecycles; knowledge or experience in sciences; portfolio, timeline, resource, financial management; software engineering and development experience; learning agility; communication and technical expertise; translating business to technical requirements; SDLC and quality methodology; agile and DevOps frameworks; Scrum methodology; data engineering concepts; formula syntax familiarity; drug product and clinical development knowledge; Planisware Enterprise familiarity; data analysis and reporting; SQL knowledge; project management and business analysis; global environment experience; Agile SCRUM methodology; excellent communication, presentation and conflict resolution skills.
