Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant on the job experience is acceptable as well. Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a SQL DBA in a production environment. Technical Skills:
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2008 R2, 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022) administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance. - Proficiency in T-SQL, including writing and optimizing complex queries, stored procedures, and triggers. - Experience with SQL Server High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options, including AlwaysOn, Clustering, and Mirroring. - Familiarity with database monitoring and performance tuning tools (e. g., SQL Profiler, Performance Monitor, SQL Sentry). - Experience with backup and recovery tools and strategies. - Strong scripting skills (e. g., PowerShell, Python) for automation and database management tasks.
