At Invenco, our Database team plays a critical role in powering the backbone of our SaaS applications by managing a robust and sophisticated database environment hosted on AWS. This environment includes Oracle Enterprise running on EC2 instances and Amazon Aurora MySQL on RDS. We are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of database health, stability, and availability to ensure seamless, uninterrupted service for our customers. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Upgrade and patch Oracle databases with minimal downtime. Document and maintain operational procedures for critical databases. Manage cloud-based and on-prem databases, including security, backups, and recovery. Design and implement automated deployment tools and processes. Support development, testing, and production databases, including performance troubleshooting. Monitor database performance and ensure availability. Test and deploy new database features. Automate backup and recovery solutions for high availability. Participate in designing standards and procedures for database technology. Provide on-call support during production outage windows, typically at 9pm CT, and be available for production upgrades. ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE: At least 6 years of experience as an Oracle production DBA in a SaaS environment. Minimum 2 years of experience with AWS RDS and MySQL preferred. Knowledge of the fueling industry is a plus. Skills and tools include Oracle Enterprise Manager 13.5, dynamic groups, monitoring templates, backup automation with RMAN, Oracle Real Application Testing, Oracle Data Guard, Linux administration, shell scripting, PL/SQL, Terraform, Ansible, GitHub/Bitbucket, and experience with Amazon Aurora RDS MySQL and Oracle EE on RDS. Preferred certifications include OCP and expertise in Oracle security, GoldenGate, zero downtime upgrades, and advanced Terraform. The salary range for this position is $98,000 to $125,000 annually, based on experience, skills, location, and credentials.
