Work Place Flexibility: Hybrid Legal Entity: Entergy Services, LLC This position may be filled as an Accountant III, Lead or Sr Lead depending on the qualifications and/or the experience of the candidate. Job Summary/Purpose: The Accountant (III, Lead or Sr Lead) will assist with providing accounting guidance, research, analysis and support in accordance with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's (FERC) Uniform System of Accounts, support the Corporate Reporting process, and assist with the regulatory discovery process. Job Duties/Responsibilities: Participate in the monthly financial close process, including coordinating with various Finance groups and preparing closing journal entries. Assist with Entergy Corporation parent company consolidation accounting matters, including financial reporting and legal entity tree management, consolidation and equitization journal entries, and account reconciliations. Perform research and make accounting decisions that support both SEC reporting and FERC accounting requirements. Support compliance with FERC Uniform System of Accounts, the regulatory discovery process, and external financial reporting for FERC. Leverage technical system knowledge on process improvement initiatives and participate on various financial systems projects and other FERC/Corporate Reporting initiatives. Minimum education required of the position: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience. Advanced degree preferred. Desired: CPA preferred Minimum experience required of the position: Accountant III: 3+ years of business experience in accounting or related field. Accountant Lead: 5+ years of business experience in accounting or related field. Accountant, Sr. Lead: 8+ years of business experience in accounting or related field. Desired: Experienced FERC Uniform System of Accounts compliance and utility accounting. Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position: Utility accounting experience and working knowledge of the FERC Uniform System of Accounts. Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify problems, trends, and reasonableness of results, and identify/recommend possible solutions to issues. Excellent project management skills required, including the ability to manage multiple and frequently changing priorities and deadlines. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
