Position: Java Developer Location: Phoenix, AZ - Hybrid Type: Contract - Only W2

Project Overview: We are undertaking a platform modernization initiative aimed at transforming legacy systems into a scalable, cloud-ready architecture. This role is critical to the success of the project and will focus heavily on backend development and integration.

Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using

Java

and

Spring Boot Build and integrate

RESTful APIs

and event-driven systems using

Apache Kafka Work with

MongoDB

and

PostgreSQL

for data storage and retrieval Collaborate with DevOps to implement

CI/CD pipelines

and automation best practices Write clean, maintainable, and testable code (80% hands-on coding) Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical discussions Leverage

GitHub Copilot

to enhance development productivity (experience with Copilot is a major plus) Required Skills & Experience:

Strong proficiency in

Java

and

Spring Boot Experience with

Kafka ,

MongoDB , and

PostgreSQL Solid understanding of

API development

and

microservices architecture Familiarity with

CI/CD tools

and

automation pipelines Proficient with

Git

and collaborative development workflows Experience using

GitHub Copilot

is highly desirable Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications:
