I am looking for experienced HVAC/Plumbing engineers/designers to lead our upcoming projects (PE, Revit, AutoCAD, etc.) – Based in San Diego area…
Lead HVAC design for commercial, residential, and industrial projects using Revit and AutoCAD for system layout and coordination. Develop detailed energy models and perform energy analysis to optimize system performance and ensure compliance with energy codes. Conduct load calculations using industry-standard software to determine system capacity and performance. Create and review design documents, including HVAC schematics, equipment schedules, and control diagrams, ensuring they meet client requirements and local codes. Oversee the preparation of construction documents and specifications, ensuring they are accurate and complete. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, tracking progress using project management software. Coordinate with other MEP disciplines (plumbing, electrical) to integrate designs effectively and resolve conflicts using BIM coordination tools. Review contractor submittals and shop drawings, ensuring alignment with design intent. Prepare and review project proposals, cost estimates, and contracts, ensuring accurate pricing and scope alignment. Collaborate with clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure HVAC systems meet performance expectations and project requirements. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, assisting with the development of design calculations and drawings. Troubleshoot design, installation, and operational issues on-site, providing solutions during construction and commissioning phases. Ensure quality control throughout the design and construction process, including site inspections and coordination with the commissioning team. Stay current on HVAC industry trends, codes, and technologies, integrating new systems and approaches to improve design efficiency and sustainability. Seniority level
