Overview
Plan, implement, and maintain solutions for integrating and testing missile subsystems and complete missile systems. Document all processes and maintain thorough records to ensure traceability and repeatability.
Test and Evaluation:
Work with Test and Systems team to develop and execute missile system test and evaluation plans for systems under development. Ensure that test solutions align with customer contractual needs and requirements, while adhering to technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Specification and Standards:
Establish functional and technical specifications and standards for missile systems. Address hardware/software interface issues and define input/output parameters to ensure seamless integration of the entire system or subsystem.
Test Plans and Procedures:
Review, evaluate, and derive requirements for testability. Develop and oversee the preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems.
Coordination and Communication:
Coordinate subsystem and/or system testing activities with other programs and organizations within the company. Ensure clear and effective communication across teams to maintain alignment and efficiency.
Analysis and Reporting:
Analyze test results and prepare comprehensive evaluation reports at the subsystem and system levels. Verify and validate system performance against defined requirements.
Discrepancy Reports and Regression Testing:
Write detailed discrepancy reports documenting any issues identified during testing. Perform integration regression testing to verify and validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems, and systems.
Qualifications You Must Have: Bachelors of Science degree in System Engineering or related discipline and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience Higher education may substitute for relevant experience Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams Thorough understanding of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles Experience with missile/unmanned aircraft testing Experience performing integration, verification, and field qualification of test assets Knowledge of system integration lab operation to include hardware in the loop (HWIL) design Understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required Qualifications We Prefer: Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry Experience with weapons or missile systems Senior skill set includes ability to perform all stated/implied duties within this tier and those reasonably derived from preceding tiers Past history of developing baseline project definition and maturation in a complex development setting, including the use of integrated trade studies and analysis IMPORTANT NOTICE:
