Manager or Senior Manager Who You’ll Work With In this role, you’ll support our Build capability across Canada, Mexico, Colombia, and the US. Our Build team includes software engineers, platform engineers, quality engineers, intelligence engineers, and solution owners. They develop scalable, high-velocity modern technology solutions that power businesses, products, customer experiences, and analytics. Experience working with technology teams managing software development lifecycles is highly preferred. What You’ll Do As a People Business Partner (PBP), you will partner with People Leaders to support the employee experience—from daily leadership moments to strategic team planning and talent development. Your focus areas include: Manager Coaching & Development: Provide support and coaching to help People Leaders grow as inclusive, effective managers. Lead training initiatives for manager development. Talent Planning & Calibration: Facilitate calibration sessions, assess team health, and guide talent decisions with equity and impact. Performance & Development Support: Advise on performance reviews, development plans, promotions, underperformance, and terminations, ensuring alignment with company values. Compensation & Pay Equity Guidance: Collaborate with leaders and compensation teams on pay decisions and internal equity. Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution: Support complex employee relations cases and provide conflict resolution guidance. Retention & Engagement: Help leaders identify risks and opportunities related to engagement and retention using data and surveys. Team Design & Restructuring: Advise on team structures, workforce transitions, and reorganizations. Program Implementation & Activation: Support onboarding, performance enablement, promotions, and ensure programs reflect company culture. Change Enablement & Communication: Assist with change efforts through communication plans and leader messaging. Project & Initiative Work: Contribute to broader People Team initiatives and projects.
How the Levels Differ People Business Partners (Core Level): Focus on supporting People Leaders with tactical guidance and program activation, serving as a connector between teams and People initiatives. Senior People Business Partners: Operate at a strategic scope, advising senior leaders, leading complex challenges, influencing talent strategy, and owning key projects. What You’ll Bring Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Organized, action-oriented, eager to learn. Comfortable with ambiguity and passionate about people and culture. Experience in HR, talent consulting, or business partnership roles. Ability to coach and influence senior leaders. Skilled in navigating complexity and leading change. For the People Business Partner level, the target salary range is $100,000 to $130,000; for Senior level, $120,000 to $150,000, plus potential bonuses. Actual pay depends on skills, experience, location, and other factors. Salary ranges are subject to change.
