Certified IT Project Manager II to support key enterprise and strategic initiatives, with a particular emphasis on projects involving mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
Reporting to the CIO, the IT Project Manager will be responsible for
coordinating the activities of internal and external resources throughout the lifecycle of these efforts , maintaining an effective and motivated project team.This individual will also assist business partners with the development of project charters and project plans, ensuring the appropriate human resources, communications, risk, procurement and stakeholder management plans are documented, communicated and approved. This role requires
prior M&A experience , as the IT Project Manager will play a critical role in coordinating the integration and execution activities that follow such transactions. What You'll Do: Provide project management leadership for high-profile enterprise initiatives, including M&A-related projects, driving cross-functional project teams to achieve high-quality results through all phases of the project Develop project scope and design specifications, working closely with key stakeholders to ensure alignment of business requirements Monitor and manage project scope, time, cost and quality objectives throughout project lifecycles Manage and oversee internal and external project team resources, including vendors, consultants and other third parties Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation and archives (projects plans, issues logs, risk registers, stakeholder registers, business requirements, etc.) Actively manage project risks, issues, corrective action, change control, status reporting, and process improvement plans Mentor junior team members What You'll Have: Minimum of 10 years project management experience
- ideally in a mid- to large scale corporate environment Experience managing projects or programs in the financial services or banking industry PMP or PRINCE2 Certification Experience leading high-complexity projects , such as customer relationship management (CRM) systems, enterprise resource planning (ERP), M&A, etc. Experience managing and leading complex, cross-functional project teams with a deep commitment to effective collaboration across all stakeholder groups Experience managing consultants, external business partners, vendors, RFP processes, SoW / contract processes and project budgets Experience implementing and administering project and/or portfolio management software applications Experience working for or with an enterprise Project Management Office (PMO) Experience managing a broad range of business and IT projects, including User Experience, Innovation, Change Management, Business Process, Training & Content Development A passion for coaching and developing coworkers and project team members to achieve positive project outcomes Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively manage conflict Excellent written and verbal communication skills Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience in finance, project/program management Seniority level
