Our team is actively seeking a motivated and talented Sr. Software Development Engineer in Test who is passionate about data and testing software through automation. You will be part of an inter-disciplinary team of hardware, firmware, software, system, and test engineers to develop and integrate cutting-edge technologies for a Financial Services Company, building AI driven E2E automation solutions connecting the Advisor Platform, the Investor Platform, and Teammates. You will work closely with product and engineering teams to understand features, develop and automate test cases, improve product quality, and shorten release time from development to production. Responsibilities include participating in Agile Scrum ceremonies, backlog refinement, developing and executing manual and automation test plans and cases, implementing intelligent automation solutions using AI/ML frameworks, performing various testing types including in-sprint, service/API, integration/E2E, regression, and release day testing, reviewing user interfaces, working with software engineers on product architecture, creating and maintaining data scenarios, identifying data patterns and anomalies, analyzing test results, documenting and tracking bugs, and serving as SME and technology ambassador for automation. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with 6+ years IT experience or a Master’s degree with 5+ years IT experience, 6+ years hands-on experience in software development in test automation with Java or Python, experience with open-source test automation tools and CI/CD pipelines, solid SQL testing skills, experience with AWS services and cloud technologies, familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Snowflake, Data Lake, API testing, test frameworks, code versioning, and Agile tools. Preferences include cloud certifications, Gen AI hands-on experience, financial industry experience, and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments. This is a hybrid role requiring reporting to an LPL office in Austin, TX or Charlotte/Fort Mill, SC.
