Senior SQL Server DBA
Hybrid - NYC or Iselin, NJ (Local Only)
Salary: $77K-$145K | No Sponsorship Available
We're looking for a hands-on SQL Server DBA with at least 5+ years of experience to join our hybrid team. You'll support critical SQL environments across on-prem and Azure,
handling performance, high availability, automation, and migrations. This role is ideal for someone technical, reliable, and looking to grow into a future Sr. Technical Lead.

We're looking for a hands-on SQL Server DBA with at least 5+ years of experience to join our hybrid team. You'll support critical SQL environments across on-prem and Azure,
handling performance, high availability, automation, and migrations. This role is ideal for someone technical, reliable, and looking to grow into a future Sr. Technical Lead.
What You'll Do:
- Manage SQL Server 2012-2019 and Azure SQL (VMs, Managed Instance, PaaS)
- Handle HA/DR (Always On, log shipping, replication, mirroring, Oracle RAC)
- Troubleshoot and tune performance, queries, deadlocks
- Migrate workloads to Azure, automate tasks (PowerShell, Azure Automation)
- Monitor systems (SQL Sentry, OpsRamp), manage access and data security
- Support developers with SQL optimization and code deployments
- Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation
- 5+ years of SQL Server DBA experience
- Strong SQL skills and hands-on Azure exposure
- Ownership mindset, ability to work independently
- Solid communication and soft skills
- Willingness to work occasional weekends
- Professional integrity and team-oriented attitude
- Financial services or regulated environment experience
- Azure or SQL certifications
- Start as a mid-level DBA and grow into a Sr. Technical Lead with increasing project ownership and architecture responsibilities.
