Sr. Satellite Systems Engineer, System Reliability
Job ID: 2926261 | Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC Project Kuiper aims to expand global broadband access via a constellation of 3,236 low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites. Its mission is to provide fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities worldwide, helping to bridge the digital divide for various customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and organizations in areas lacking reliable connectivity. Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws, candidates must be U.S. citizens or nationals, U.S. permanent residents (Green Card holders), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as refugees or asylum seekers. We seek a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer with a strong background in spacecraft architecture, including functional decomposition, requirements management, and interface control documentation. The candidate should be experienced in managing engineering budgets and developing verification and validation plans. Experience in an MBSE-driven environment is strongly preferred. The role requires excellent collaboration skills, interfacing with design, test, and manufacturing teams. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, or related field 8+ years of industry experience Proficiency in MATLAB or Python Experience developing system engineering artifacts (e.g., ICDs, use case diagrams, system architecture views) MBSE modeling experience (Siemen’s System Modeling Workbench / Capella preferred) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications
