Senior Manager of Information Technology
to oversee the daily operations of the IT department. Reporting directly to the VP of IT, this role is responsible for managing networks, hardware support, application administration, desktop support, GIS, and helpdesk functions. Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities: Support the VP of IT with departmental needs related to information technology and GIS. Manage, support, coach, and evaluate IT team members to ensure departmental success. Oversee database management, network security, VPN management, IT hardware/software, GIS, and other related areas. Assist in developing and implementing business continuity plans to minimize operational disruptions during emergencies or data loss. Manage technological infrastructure, including networks and computer systems, and guide the implementation of new systems. Identify and deploy technology solutions to streamline internal operations, analyzing costs, risks, and benefits. Lead and organize IT projects. Coordinate cybersecurity training for staff and ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and client documentation. Stay updated on technological advancements to maintain competitive advantage. Inspect and ensure the functionality of technological equipment and software, reporting needs for upgrades or new systems. Build and maintain relationships with vendors, negotiating cost-effective contracts. Assist with IT and cybersecurity RFPs and MSA processes. Perform additional duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field. Management-level professional experience in IT. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure. Proficiency with Azure and SQL Server. Experience in designing and developing IT systems and planning implementations. Strong understanding of data analysis, budgeting, and business operations. Proven leadership in an IT management role. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Qualifications: Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Experience with ArcGIS Server.
