As a Senior Traffic Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing traffic studies and designs with minimal supervision. You will collaborate with team members to produce high-quality deliverables and contribute to the growth of our team. You will supervise traffic engineers, manage traffic-related projects, and ensure timely, within-budget completion that meets client expectations. You will also prepare traffic engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates (PS&E) for various infrastructure projects, draft proposals, and focus on strategic planning, budgeting, and client communication. This is an ownership-track position ideal for a motivated leader. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage scope, schedule, and budget of traffic engineering design projects. Prepare plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates for traffic signals, lighting, ramp metering, transportation electrical systems, signing, pavement delineation, and construction stage traffic handling. Conduct traffic operations analysis to support design projects. Develop proposals for traffic engineering design projects. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering. Registered Professional Engineer in Civil, Electrical, or Traffic Engineering, preferably in California. If registered outside California, registration in California is expected within 2 years. 10+ years of experience in traffic signals, lighting, ramp metering, electrical systems, signing, pavement delineation, and construction traffic handling. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Technical Skills: Proficiency in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD. Knowledge of AGI and/or VISUAL photometric analysis software. Knowledge of Auto-Turn software. Knowledge of Synchro and SimTraffic traffic analysis software.
