Join our dynamic team as we advance the forefront of software technologies in the realms of GIS, photogrammetry, and remote sensing tailored specifically for defense and intelligence applications. As a Sr. Software Development Engineer Imagery, you will collaborate with a talented group of developers and product engineers to innovate, test, and deploy sophisticated software solutions that cater to imagery users. In this pivotal role, you'll channel your expertise into developing solutions that handle a wide array of imagery sources such as MS and HSI, TIR, RADAR, LiDAR, Full Motion Video (FMV), and other remotely sensed data. Your work will significantly enhance the analytical capabilities of remote sensing within GIS frameworks. Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and interpret U.S. DoD and intelligence community requirements to develop suitable GIS and remote sensing software solutions for various defense and intelligence scenarios. Address complex challenges and translate them into exceptional user experiences. Create robust image processing and analysis functionalities for various modalities, including EO MS and HSI, TIR, Radar, and motion imagery. Develop cutting-edge software compatible with common defense and intelligence formats such as NITF, TFRD, and MISB compliant video (FMV). Design and implement advanced image processing components, algorithms, and APIs. Enhance radiometric image processing, photogrammetric components, workflows, and user interfaces. Collaborate with fellow developers to integrate community toolkits and libraries into platforms like ArcGIS. Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years in software development experience with COTS or GOTS imagery applications. Proficiency in C++ or C#. Hands-on experience in remote sensing, image processing, photogrammetry, or image analysis application development. Background in the defense and/or intelligence sectors. An active U.S. Top Secret clearance with eligibility for SCI access. Bachelor's degree in computer science, geography, engineering, remote sensing, photogrammetry, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications:
Master's or PhD in computer science, remote sensing, or another relevant engineering/scientific discipline. Experience with Esri APIs. Expertise in processing pipeline optimization. Familiarity with the NITF format and specifications. Experience with tools like ArcGIS, ENVI, Socet GXP, or RemoteView.
