CoStar Group, a leading provider of real estate information and analytics, is seeking a Senior Staff Systems Engineer for their Matterport division. This role is crucial in leading the design and development of embedded firmware for next-generation hardware products. The position is based in Sunnyvale, CA, and requires on-site presence Monday through Friday. As a Sr. Staff Systems Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of developing embedded systems that power Matterport's groundbreaking spatial computing platform, which transforms buildings into valuable digital twins across 170+ countries. The role demands deep technical expertise in embedded systems and leadership in cross-functional engineering efforts. You'll be responsible for architecting robust, scalable firmware solutions while working closely with hardware, systems, and product teams. Key responsibilities include implementing low-level firmware, leading architecture design, conducting code reviews, and mentoring junior engineers. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of embedded firmware development experience, strong proficiency in C/C++ for resource-constrained environments, and extensive knowledge of real-time operating systems.
