Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer with at least 3 years of echocardiography experience and current BLS certification.
Responsibilities Work in a pediatric cardiology department performing echo studiesDay shift, Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM16-week contract assignment with a 40-hour work weekOn-call required Monday through Sunday in a rotating 3-week schedulePediatric patient population; fetal echo experience is preferred but not requiredMay be required to float in rotation with permanent staff according to clinical experience and facility policyUses Kronos system for electronic time keepingPerforms all aspects of echocardiographic studies using ultrasonic equipmentTriage, patient orientation, and exam preparation are part of daily dutiesResponsible for providing preliminary interpretations and presenting data to attending physiciansMaintains echo equipment and laboratory according to department standardsProcedures must be documented per department guidelinesFetal cardiology echo experience is highly valuedTeam members are expected to follow facility's floating and coverage policies
