Direct message the job poster from Global Connect Technologies Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Expert Software Engineer with extensive expertise in bootloader development and the implementation of Vector HSM and cybersecurity stacks for Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end software developmentfrom understanding requirements through to design, implementation, testing, and integration. This role focuses on leveraging deep technical expertise to deliver innovative, secure, and reliable systems. You will work independently on complex software modules and collaborate cross-functionally with systems engineers, hardware teams, and validation engineers to deliver high-quality, production-grade embedded software for next-generation vehicle platforms. Prior experience with Renesas and Infineon microcontrollers is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of secure bootloader solutions for IPC systems. Implement and optimize Vector HSM and cybersecurity stack protocols. Develop embedded software for IPC features such as graphical displays, tell-tales, indicators, and vehicle communication (CAN, LIN, Ethernet). Contribute to platform architecture, component abstraction, and middleware layer development. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, systems engineers, and validation teams, to ensure integrated solutions. Ensure software adheres to automotive standards such as ASPICE and cybersecurity guidelines. Conduct peer reviews, perform unit testing, and support system-level integration. Manage software configuration and change processes using tools like Git, JIRA, and DOORS. Required Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Engineering, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in embedded C/C++ software development for automotive systems. Demonstrated expertise in bootloader development and cybersecurity stack implementation. Strong understanding of automotive communication protocols and standards. Hands-on experience with Renesas and Infineon microcontrollers. Proven ability to lead development projects from conception through to deployment. Experience debugging complex system-level issues and performing hardware-software integration. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with Vector CANoe, DaVinci Configurator/Developer, EB tresos, or similar tools. Knowledge of AUTOSAR architecture and components. Experience applying MISRA, ISO 26262 (ASIL-B or above), and cybersecurity best practices. Proficiency with Atlassian suite (JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence) and IBM Rational tools (DOORS, Rhapsody). Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Highly motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
