Job Title: Winter Contract Healthcare Position - Days (3x12-Hour Shifts)
Location: (Specify Location)
Shift: Day Shift (3x12-Hour) 10:00 AM - 10:30 PM
Contract Duration: 20-26 Week Assignment
Start Date: September 8, 2025
Overview:
We are seeking dedicated healthcare professionals for a winter contract position that is essential during peak season. This opportunity requires a commitment through January, with the earliest end date on January 10, 2026. Ideal candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and must be comfortable with a required on-call schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care in compliance with standards and protocols.
- Utilize your expertise in sterile processing, ensuring all equipment and surgical tools are properly prepared and maintained.
- Manage patient ratios effectively, ensuring optimal care and safety.
- Participate in on-call scheduling as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in an acute hospital setting or similar.
- Previous charge experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Community Hospital charting systems.
- Required certifications: CBSPD, IAHCSMM/HSPA.
- Experience with high-level disinfection (HLD) and sterilization techniques (IUSS, Steris, Sterrad).
Skills:
- Proficient in aseptic techniques, and using various sterilization methods.
- Ability to handle specialized equipment such as endoscopes, IV pumps, and ultrasonic cleaners.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills to ensure proper labeling and managing of trays and instrumentation.
Scheduling Details:
- Must be able to work Weekends and Holidays as required by the unit schedule.
- Pre-approved time off (RTO) policy: No more than 7 days total; if more than 4 consecutive days requested, an additional week will be added to the contract duration.
- Must be flexible with scheduling but cannot request block schedules.
Compliance Requirements:
- Documentation deadline is 5 days prior to the start date.
- Travelers must complete labs within 72 hours of signing the contract.
- CPI certification required (Calm Every Storm online version acceptable).
- BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications must be from the American Heart Association.
Note:
- Candidates must possess an active MD or Compact license at the time of submission.
- Local candidates are defined as those residing more than 50 miles from the facility.
- Floating within the hospital may be required.
