Your Role:
As a PRN Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a vital role in cleaning, decontaminating, assembling, sterilizing, and storing all reusable surgical instruments. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will help provide the highest standard of care.
Responsibilities Include:
Inspecting, assembling, and testing surgical instruments for proper functionality.
Operating and maintaining sterilization equipment like autoclaves and ultrasonic washers.
Preparing, assembling, and packaging all surgical instruments accurately.
Maintaining inventory for operating room and specialty lockers.
Documenting all sterilization processes and adhering to infection control practices.
Qualifications:
Obtaining Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 60 days of hire.
Minimum of one year experience in a Central Sterile Supply department is preferred.
Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and medical terminology is essential.
Sterile Processing Certification (CRCST or CSPDT) required within 18 months of employment.
