Connecting Finance and Operations Talent with Innovative GreenTechs Worldwide | Storm4

Location: Maryland (On-site)

This is a rare opportunity to lead the finance function of a Maryland-based spin-off scaling next-generation, AI-driven compute environments by leveraging the data center, cloud, and fiber assets of a well-established infrastructure company. The business is also open to finance leaders with experience in the construction or infrastructure sectors, given the capital-intensive nature of its operations.

As CFO, you’ll work closely with the CEO and board to drive financial strategy, scale operations, and secure funding for aggressive growth. This is a high-visibility executive role offering equity participation and the chance to shape the financial future of a business at the intersection of AI, data infrastructure, and large-scale development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic finance, long-range planning, budgeting, and forecasting to drive growth.
• Oversee capital markets activities, including debt/equity raises and investor relations.
• Develop board materials, manage investor communications, and provide strategic insights.
• Build and scale FP&A, accounting, treasury, tax, and financial systems.
• Execute M&A, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
• Ensure internal controls, audit readiness, and GAAP/regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in senior finance leadership (CFO/VP Finance) within data center, cloud, technology, or related sectors.
• Proven success raising debt/equity and leading an IPO.
• Expertise in project-based accounting, FP&A, and large-scale financial oversight.
• Strong experience with boards, investors, and high-growth or PE/VC-backed companies.
• Track record in technology-driven environments.
• CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred; SEC reporting experience a plus.
• Hands-on leader skilled at building high-performing finance teams.
