This position provides engineering support for Material Sea Lift Command, both at NIWC Atlantic facilities and shipboard. Responsibilities
Provide technical evaluations, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs of Depot Level Repairables (DLR), L3Harris, and Motorola communication systems. Provide technical support and assist with maintaining and updating Bench Stock Repair Parts. Assist with repair demand planning for the Radio Program. Provide onsite technical assistance/support when necessary. Ensure compliance with Allowance Parts Lists. Possess working knowledge of Power Amplifiers, Repeaters, and Communications Systems. Use electronic test equipment (Signal Generators, Multimeters, Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers) for component-level repair of radio system PCB assemblies, including soldering. Perform tests on electronic equipment, including Tactical Radios (L3HARRIS, AN/PRC series), communications equipment, circuitry components, and computer systems. Qualifications
Technical training in a relevant technical field. At least 12 years of hands-on experience with relevant projects, including 3 years in Systems Requirements, Operational Requirements, Test & Evaluation, or Training. Recognized industry and public service leadership in relevant technical areas. Experience as an Electronics Technician and Military trainer. Experience with AN/PRC-117G, AN/PRC-150, AN/PRC-117F, AN/PRC-160, MUOS, Multichannel Tactical Radios, and related equipment. Differentiators
