Registered Pharmacy Technician
We are seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician, sometimes referred to as a Pharmacy Tech or Outpatient Pharmacy Assistant. The Pharmacy Tech in our outpatient retail pharmacy supports pharmacists by preparing and dispensing medications, assisting patients, processing insurance claims, managing inventory, and maintaining accurate prescription records. They ensure efficient pharmacy operations and provide excellent patient care. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): Prepare and dispense medications accurately based on prescriptions Assist patients with prescription pick-ups, answering questions, and explaining medication instructions Processing insurance claims, handle billing, insurance verification, and resolving payment issues Manage stock, order supplies, and ensure medications are stored properly Input prescription information into the pharmacy system Qualifications

You must have: State Pharmacy Technician License/Registration required (if required by state regulations) Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA) required or obtained within 6 months of hire High school diploma or equivalent Sterile Compounding Certification required or obtained within 6 months of hire Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus: Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred Graduate of ASHP-accredited or equivalent pharmacy technician training program preferred 340B program experience preferred (if at a 340B facility) Full benefits at Prime Healthcare: https://www.primehealthcare.com/careers/benefits/ #LI-OZ1 Employment Status
