This position is part of our Advanced Safety & User Experience segment. Summary Product System Architect is responsible for performing design, development and support of existing and new products architectures. Is developing architectural and design principles to improve performance, capacity, and scalability of product. Major Responsibilities: Plans and monitors SYS.3 work planned for all product releases and program increments (PIs) Analyzes and structures system capabilities and features based on the system requirements Analyzes and documents system design alternatives Aligns architecture strategies with Project/Platform Owner Aligns system architecture with the stakeholders Allocates system requirements of any given product release to physical and logical architecture elements in advance of scheduled feature development for that release Responsible for architecture tool chain Definition of logical and physical product system architecture and actively driving integration of SW, HW and ME by defining and aligning logical & physical interfaces Defines system interfaces (internal and external) Defines CPE/CQE tester design Stakeholder of the Program Increment planning, system demos and retrospectives Support of: Supports system FMEA Supports the Product System Safety Architect on the Technical Safety Concept development Defines the system architecture strategies and SYS.3 part of System & Software Development Plan (SSDP) Develops the Product System Architecture & Design Decides about technology usage Defines the Product naming convention, such as system component, parameter and signal names (used in SYS.3 and all of downstream engineering (SW/HW)) Qualifications And Education Requirements BS /MS Electronics or software related field 5 + years professional experience in Consumer Electronics or Automotive Industry Proven record of taking customer requirements from design to production Familiarity with microprocessor/DSP based hardware designs, and Software Architectures for automotive designs Familiarity with development in the embedded environment Strong analytic and problem-solving skills The ability to communicate complex ideas succinctly and persuasively to peers, management and customers Self-motivated, well organized, flexible, works well with complex issues Ability to multi-task and work in team environment Excellent Leadership skills Passionate about creating innovation cutting-edge automotive safety products Aptiv Rewards and Advantages Competitive compensation with bonus potential Learning and development opportunities Discount programs with various manufacturers and retailers Recognition for innovation and excellence Opportunities to give back to the community Meaningful work that makes a difference in the world Relocation assistance may be available Tuition Reimbursement Paid Time Off (Vacation, Parental leave, etc.) About Advanced Safety And User Experience Advanced Safety & User Experience encompasses our deep expertise in centralized computing platforms, advanced safety systems and automated driving, while acknowledging the growth in areas that enrich the in-vehicle experience Privacy Notice - Active Candidates: Aptiv is an equal employment opportunity employer.
