Position Overview/Responsibilities for the System Architect:
- Participate in an integrated architecture & systems engineering team to define the vision and desired capabilities of an evolving program effort.
- Architect missile defense command and control and battle management systems leveraging existing or COTS/GOTS components with DoD interoperability.
- Analyze high-level needs through a structured and logical approach.
- Develop system engineering and architecture artifacts (e.g. Specifications, Interface Control Documents, Use Cases, System Architecture Descriptions, Trade Studies, etc.)
- Present at DoD Customer Design Reviews and communicate desired capabilities to a diverse group of developers, engineers, subject matter experts, and users.
- Experience in architecting systems in an environment that leverages existing or COTS/GOTS components with DoD interoperability.
- Familiarity with Private Cloud solutions and IT technologies such as VMWare/Nutanix, RedHat, Network solutions.
- Familiarity with DoD Cyber requirements, RMF, and associated solutions.
- Familiarity with Software development and Java-based software solutions.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps and/or Digital Engineering Transformation (DET) methodologies and solutions.
- Familiarity with Agile development and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Cameo tool.
- Familiarity with requirements management tools, e.g., DOORS.
- Secret Clearance Required to start.
