Overview
Design, simplify and continuously improve system controls architecture including machine control code, networking, electrical design and safety design
Identify and implement system optimizations
Integrate control systems with a diverse array of sensors, actuators, motors, and software services
Work closely with deployment teams to implement end-to-end solutions in the field
30% travel expected to support onsite system testing
Basic Qualifications 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
2+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
2+ years of experience in embedded software development for mechatronic systems
2+ years of working knowledge of software engineering best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, design patterns, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
Experience deploying and supporting mechatronic systems
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering
Experience with CODESYS
Knowledge of industrial fieldbus protocols such as Profinet, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT
Experience solving problems utilizing AWS
Experience with multiple Industrial Control System platforms such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Fanuc
Experience with Linux/Unix
Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe product features, and present technical designs
Experience influencing engineering best practices within your team
Ability to learn new technologies quickly
Experience writing technical documents
Ability to travel up to 30% and eligible for international travel

The base pay for this position ranges from $116,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201,200/year in our highest geographic market.
