PGS Worldwide is actively seeking an experienced
System Integration & Test Engineer
for a
1-year contract-to-hire
opportunity supporting advanced aerospace and defense technologies in Orlando, Florida. This role is centered on the development, integration, and testing of both in-house and COTS/GOTS-based systems. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in automated test equipment (ATE), systems integration, and verification of complex electro-optic sensor solutions for military platforms.
Required Qualifications:
4-6 years of experience in
software development
(C, C++, LabView preferred) 4-6 years of experience in
production and manufacturing environments 6+ years of experience in
test equipment design 6+ years of experience with
electronic and mechanical testing Proven ability to integrate and test complete systems and subsystems across hardware and software interfaces Skilled at interpreting technical requirements, generating test plans, and producing detailed test documentation U.S. Citizenship required due to the nature of the program Desired Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with
LabView, LabWindows CVI, and NI hardware/software
platforms Deep knowledge of
ATE hardware/software integration , including VXI/PXI chassis, switching systems, and EO test environments Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining
automated test solutions
in high-volume defense production settings Familiarity with
electro-optic sensor systems
and military test standards Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to support both integration and regression testing Experience in documenting test discrepancies and working collaboratively across engineering teams Key Responsibilities:
Plan and execute test solutions for integration of systems and subsystems using both custom and COTS/GOTS components Translate system-level requirements into test specifications while accounting for schedule and cost constraints Develop and maintain test procedures, plans, and comprehensive test documentation Support full system lifecycle testing, including validation, verification, and regression testing Analyze test results, generate reports, and coordinate resolution of technical issues Work closely with cross-functional teams including design, hardware, software, and production engineering
