BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): • Bachelor degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. • Current CompTIA Security+ certification • Experience in Operating Systems: Windows Server, RedHat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Enterprise Linux, and Cisco IOS • Experience in VMWare Virtualization • Experience in Enterprise Storage
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Client is looking for a Mid-Level System and Network Administrator to join our Space Systems Verification and Test team in El Segundo, CA. In this position, you'll contribute to a team responsible for the hardening, deployment, automation, setup, and readiness of Special Test Equipment in factory and launch environments.
The ideal candidate will lead with courage and passion with a focus to deliver results with excellence while living the Client enduring values: Be adaptable, build positive relationships, build a successful team, and be a strong communicator. Communication, Decision making skills, analytical skills, process knowledge, along with the ability to influence others is highly desired.
The System and Network Administrator Functions supports a 24/7 hour Test operation. This position is 4th shift meaning, various shifts, nights, weekends, and alternate shifts may be required to support program objectives.
o Provides Factory Floor support to multiple Programs; defining & documenting Test setups, Deploying Test Software & Configurations, Troubleshooting, communicating/coordinating program requests, and supporting requests from the team to improve effectiveness, efficiency, productivity o Develops, implements, and sustains tools that enable product security requirements o Utilizes agile methodologies to plan, execute, and track product security statement of work o Develops and enhances system requirements and architectures for product security to meet all applicable certification and customer requirements o Configures and ensures security of facilities, equipment, tools, data, networks, and resources used for product: design, development, build, test, storage, delivery, operations, and support o This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): • ITIL 4 certification • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification • Experience in Satellite Test and STE Operations Readiness • Experience in Cyber Security • Experience in Redhat and Oracle Linux servers, Windows XP - Windows 7,10, 11 OS and network-based storage system • Experience in certifying PTEX (Payload Test Executive) and MTEX (Modular Test Executive) Test Servers • Experience in certifying Automated Test Controller (ATC) Server and Client • Current CompTIA Network+ certification
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.
WORK HOURS: MUST BE OPEN TO WORKING 1st, 2nd or 3rd SHIFT. PER CLIENT: Candidates who do not have the flexibility to work all shifts or variable shifts should not apply for this opportunity.
ADDITIONAL: Domestic travel required: Possible 5 to 10%. Are you okay with out-of-state candidates? Yes, must relocate at own expense.
