Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) . Hyundai's North America Quality Center (NAQC) is seeking a Senior Engineer for the Chassis Team. The Team: NAQC is the quality arm for Hyundai Motor Group's North American vehicle models. It aims to make Hyundai the leading automotive manufacturer in North America by delivering high quality and exceeding customer expectations. The Position: The Sr. Chassis Engineer will focus on developing and improving chassis systems for Hyundai, Genesis, and Kia vehicles, including conducting field investigations and root cause analysis of chassis issues. Responsibilities include: Investigating chassis-related quality issues and supporting testing in Hyundai, Genesis, and Kia vehicles. Analyzing data from investigations to diagnose root causes. Proposing and validating solutions for chassis issues. Benchmarking competitor designs and diagnostic procedures. Researching market trends through customer feedback and external indices. Maintaining new technologies, tools, and methods for data analysis. Managing schedules and coordinating with vendors to meet project deadlines. Creating and presenting technical reports. Mentoring junior engineers. Traveling up to 30% domestically and internationally. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, automotive engineering or related field. 7+ years of experience with chassis systems. Experience in QA/QC/QI processes. Knowledge of chassis fundamentals like NVH, brake, fuel, HVAC, steering, and suspension systems. Familiarity with vehicle instrumentation and data acquisition tools. Strong root cause analysis skills. Experience with field investigations and testing. Excellent time management and communication skills. Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
