WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING (ESSENTIAL DUTIES) …

n

We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Engineer to join our team. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, across several sites throughout Rhode Island. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of providing quality customer service and sound judgement, escalating issues as required and effectively and efficiently prioritizing tasks and projects as they present.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

n

n
• Maintains all network (physical/virtual) systems, maintaining a maximum uptime.
n
• Maintain appropriate backup history and retention
n
• Maintains and tests failover options for virtual, physical, and WAN networks
n
• Applied security updates as needed and as required to keep systems safe and secure
n
• Regularly audit and assess network configurations, Active Directory and Group policies to align with compliance regulation and company policies
n
• Create and maintain up to date documentation on systems, network and procedures
n
• Works collaboratively with staff to provide quick resolutions to technical issues
n
• Monitors network usage (stats, space, WAN/LAN communication, routers, switches) and responds appropriately to issues
n

Requirements:n

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU…

n

n
• Associates degree or equivalent experience and training. Certification a plus.
n
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience
n
• Demonstrated competence with VMware, Active Directory, o365, Terminal Servers, Web Services, Various Office Products, Routers, SAN technologies, wide area networks, inter-vlan routing, and telephone systems is required.
n
• High degree of interpersonal skills, strong oral and written communication to effectively interact with personnel at all levels
n
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and adaptable to change
n
• Troubleshoot issues when they occur
n
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation to travel between locations within Rhode Island
n
• Ability to safely lift and carry as much as 35 pounds.
n
