A leading provider of commercial mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) solutions is currently seeking an experienced MEP CAD Designer to join their team in Lititz, PA. This role focuses on the design and coordination of MEP systems for commercial construction projects, supporting both design-build and plan-spec initiatives in collaboration with internal BIM/CAD teams and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Create detailed 2D and 3D MEP system designs and documentation for commercial new construction and renovation projects. Develop cost-effective conceptual and construction drawings for design-build and plan-spec projects. Lead schematic design efforts and prepare design concepts for drafting or estimation. Collaborate with BIM/CAD operators and estimators to ensure project deadlines and design specifications are met. Prepare and deliver design proposals and BIM coordination packages to clients, maintaining clear communication throughout the process. Attend project site visits, design development sessions, and BIM coordination meetings with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders. Ensure adherence to project specifications, applicable codes, and industry best practices. Coordinate resources across BIM/CAD staff and estimators to optimize workflows and meet project milestones. Key Qualifications: 5-10 years of experience in MEP design for commercial, industrial, or multi-unit construction projects. Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam, and Autodesk Construction Cloud; experience in parametric 3D modeling is required. Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, building load calculations, and energy analysis. Knowledge of industry codes, including National Electric Code, NFPA 70E, International Mechanical/Plumbing/Building Codes, and Uniform Construction Code. Ability to read, interpret, and create project blueprints, schematics, and specifications. Skilled in preparing design proposals and coordinating with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Valid drivers license and eligibility to meet standard pre-employment requirements including background check, drug screening, physical evaluation, and motor vehicle record review.
