AMG Specialty Hospital- Albuquerque seeks a Part Time T
elemetry Monitor Tech/Unit Secretary for Day Shifts.
This employee will accurately interpretscardiac rhythm strips every 4 hours including rate, rhythm, PR interval, QRS,QT, signature and title. Immediatelyreports changes in patient's rhythm to Primary Care Nurse. Posts copy of rhythm change in patientsrecord. Documents arrhythmias and/orchange in cardiac rhythm on report sheet and gives complete/accurate report tooncoming technician. Properly operatesmonitor system. Properly operatesspeaker system and phone system. Continuously runs a strip during a code blue. Properly completes emergency calls forstaff. Tracks monitored patients at alltimes. Keeps charts prepped with labeledrhythm strips. Maintains nutritionalsupplies. Counts prior to ordering andmaintains pre-set par limits. Keeppatient label book up to date. Placescompleted rhythm sheets in patient charts. Provides indirect patient care inthe medical surgical setting. Meets thecommunication needs of the patient/family, departmental staff and medicalstaff. Prepares and compiles records inthe Medical Surgical Unit. Initiatesdirections from physician and nursing staff. Participates in performance improvement activities. Maintains regulatory agency requirements,nursing and hospital policies and procedures and standards. Performs other duties as needed or directedby supervisor.

Job Requirements Highschool graduate or equivalent (GED). CurrentBLS certification. Successfulcompletion of Basic EKG Monitoring Course. Previousexperience in rhythm interpretation, previous experience as a TelemetryTechnician preferred. Knowledgeof monitoring equipment. Abilityto read and communicate effectively in English. Knowledgeof medical terminology. Additional languages are desirable. Basic computer knowledge.
