The Small Business Consulting Corporation (SBCC) supports government customers in executing Defense and industry best practices to enable the introduction, modification, and transition of commercial technology solutions into operational use. Activities include senior advisory services, execution strategy development, market analysis and technology scouting, requirements refinement, and acquisition program management support. SBCC's mission is to "Ensure America's military dominance by integration of superior capabilities into the DoD". SBCC is based out of Bossier City, Louisiana, and their primary customer is the United States Air Force. Position Overview:
We are seeking a technical expert and experienced leader to provide technology transition support in the following areas: artificial intelligence hypersonics communications (line-/beyond-line-of-site, optical, digital high frequency, satellite, mesh networking, data links, multi-level security) (alternate) position, navigation and timing for weapon systems augmented/virtual/extended
reality multi-nuclear storage/security additive manufacturing advanced batteries/powered equipment digital twin models of analog-based weapon systems biofuels cybersecurity quantum computing/security electromagnetic pulse hardening directed energy counter small-UAS clean energy human performance robotics Ideal candidates have DoD acquisition qualifications, test and/or engineering background with related post-graduate credentials, and possess dynamic problem-solving, collaboration and strong interpersonal skills. They must understand the AFGSC enterprise and missions, as well as the foundational principles of Defense acquisition program management to include Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs, along with the broader Adaptive Acquisition Framework for DoD. The Site Technical Director-LCIT will be responsible for engagement functions and processes through collaboration with internal and external senior leaders, policymakers, researchers, technology developers and stakeholders. The Technical Director-LCIT will provide advisory and assistance services in support of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) cycle, Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Report directly to the LCIT Director Insight into all Laboratory research/programs that have potential to meet AF requirements for assigned laboratory Engage with SBCC leadership on processes, transition execution status, and vision for successful execution of various programs Engage directly with AF Major Command (MAJCOM) Staffs at all levels to achieve AF objectives Track requirements, environmental factors, organizations, activities, constraints, risks, and motivations impacting various programs and projects Manage and align stakeholders internal to AFGSC, SBCC and other Air Force organizations along with external stakeholders in support of program requirements Identify and establish introductory meetings and ongoing dialog between government stakeholders and laboratory entities with potential technical solutions Advise and assist non-traditional companies and small businesses with their interactions with laboratory and government customers Assess and report progress of assigned projects or programs Maintain, evaluate, and update records of schedules, program performance Plan and coordinate activities of logistics, data management and other program -related activities for transitioning technologies Participate in various technology Integrated Product Teams ISO SBCC tasks for AFGSC. Supervisory Responsibilities Yes, pending growth of the LCIT mission, and volume of programs being facilitated across the Laboratories. Work Environment Ideal candidate lives near or is willing to relocate to assigned Laboratory location. Hybrid. Physical Demands Work conditions are typical of an office environment. Travel required Yes. Support Client participation and execution of conferences and other

engagements. Approximately 45 days per year, but subject to change. Required education and experience Engineering or Science Master's Degree 10+ years of acquisition, test, or engineering work 2+ years of experience on higher headquarters' staff Demonstrate knowledge of the Air Force Global Strike Command core competency Education and Experience Any of the following: PMP Certification, DAWIA Certification (Level 2+ - ACQ, SPR&D, TEST, EN) Desired leadership experience in U.S. Service-related military operations or defense acquisition program management related to weapons system acquisition, engineering, test, and lifecycle management. Familiarity with DoD Instruction (DoDI) 50002. (Operation of the Defense Acquisition System) and other related DAWIA education. Past experiences which may benefit this role are listed below.
