Technical Lead Manager, Autonomy Datasets
. In this role, you will Drive the exploration and implementation of state-of-the-art techniques for data selection and directly impacting the performance and generalization of our largest and most complex ML models all the way through to model training Establish and enforce rigorous, automated systems for data validation, anomaly detection, and quality assurance across massive, multi-modal autonomy datasets Hire, mentor and grow a focused group of senior engineers to deliver high impact datasets and dataset infrastructure across a range of models Required Qualifications Strong ML/AI fundamentals especially around evaluation and knowledge distillation methods Proven ability to apply research-level knowledge to address data quality, efficiency, and scale challenges in ML training. Experience leading and growing highly technical teams, setting strategic direction, and fostering an environment of innovation and continuous learning. Desirable Qualifications Familiarity with multi-modal, multi-dimensional, time-series robotics datasets and infrastructure Comfortable building backend infrastructure (e.g. data pipelines, scheme design/data models, distributed storage systems, API design) tailored for datasets and training pipelines The base salary range for this position is $189,000-$303,000 per year. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits. #Mid-Senior Working at Aurora
