You will:
Drive cross-functional execution and delivery of Waymo's cybersecurity trust projects, collaborating with engineering teams, product teams, legal teams, release management and external stakeholders.
Manage project schedules, identify risks and dependencies, and develop mitigation strategies.
Facilitate communication and collaboration between engineering, product, and legal teams, ensuring alignment on program goals, milestones and technical requirements.
Track and report on project/program progress, risks, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to leadership and stakeholders.
Contribute to the strategic planning, objective setting and technical roadmap for the Waymo Cybersecurity function.
Proactively identify and resolve roadblocks and dependencies, coordinating across organizational boundaries
You have:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
5+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager in a software engineering environment
A proven track record of successfully managing complex technical projects involving international standards, audits and assessments and third party certifications
Experience implementing compliance standards in an automotive or enterprise technology environment.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, effectively conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical judgment skills
We prefer:
Experience with autonomous driving or robotics projects
Familiarity with automotive cybersecurity and management standards like ISO 27001 and ISO/SAE 21434.
Background in government, safety industry, transportation/logistics, or similar project management experience in a technology company.
A background that includes driving automotive and enterprise cybersecurity improvements
Prior experience working in combined software and hardware development
The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level.
