The Technical SME will work closely with FDIC technology teams to document and review the Central Engine (FDIC Calculator) logic, ensuring it aligns with FDIC Part 370 requirements. This involves analyzing data relationships, reviewing existing code and mapping documents, and identifying gaps to ensure regulatory compliance. Day-to-day responsibilities include: Collaborate with FDIC technology team to document Central Engine logic and compare it to regulatory requirements. Review source-to-target mapping documents and SQL code to understand data flows. Profile and analyze banking data to verify data integrity and compliance with FDIC standards. Identify gaps between existing logic and regulatory expectations, working with regulatory interpretation SME. Support the design and validation of data pipelines and calculations to ensure compliance. Top requirements: Advanced SQL skills with strong understanding of data warehouse concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and banking data systems. Experience working with Hive, Cloud databases, and scripting languages like Ab Initio. Ability to read and interpret source-to-target mapping documents (technical and business). Knowledge of FDIC requirements related to banking data, particularly for data integrity checks. Experience in designing, building, and managing data pipelines within financial institutions. Plusses: Prior experience with FDIC-related technology projects or banking regulatory compliance systems. Familiarity with regulatory logic translation into data systems and calculations.
