Overview
We are seeking an experienced and driven ManufacturingTesting Manager to lead our testing team in ensuring the quality and reliability of our power electronic products-including inverters, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and converters. This role is crucial in driving zero-defect product goals, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and leading testing initiatives that uphold the highest standards of performance, compliance, and safety.
Testing Manager Responsibilities
- Lead the manufacturing testing team in executing functional testing of inverters, VFDs, converters, and related systems.
- Ensure all testing processes meet technical, functional, and quality requirements as defined by customers and internal standards.
- Troubleshoot technical issues in partnership with Engineering and cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Drive product quality improvements by identifying manufacturing-related test issues and implementing cost-effective solutions.
- Develop and manage initiatives aimed at achieving zero-defect outcomes and enhanced product reliability.
- Maintain and ensure calibration, maintenance, and optimal utilization of all testing equipment.
- Prepare, review, and present detailed test reports and communicate outcomes to senior leadership.
- Work closely with Engineering to refine test protocols and enhance product manufacturability.
- Ensure testing activities comply with EHS standards and industry regulations (e.g., IEC, UL).
- Lead Customer Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and maintain customer confidence in test results.
- Develop and implement new test plans and procedures for electrical systems and components.
- Promote a positive and high-performing team culture through mentorship, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor testing KPIs and team performance, driving accountability and providing constructive feedback.
- Provide leadership and resource planning to meet production targets and testing deadlines.
- Support and guide team members in solving complex technical issues using structured problem-solving techniques.
- Collaborate actively across departments to foster process improvement and interdepartmental communication.
- Identify training needs and support the technical growth and career development of the team.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5+ years' experience in inverter/VFD/converter testing or relevant manufacturing environments.
- At least 2 years in a leadership or management role within a testing or engineering environment.
- In-depth understanding of inverter manufacturing, quality control, and electrical test methodologies.
- Proficient in troubleshooting, data analysis, and root cause investigations.
- Working knowledge of IEC, UL, and other relevant standards in electrical testing.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English, with experience preparing technical documentation and presentations.
