Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic
Manager
Training & Development
to lead the design, development, and delivery of training programs across our residential multifamily portfolio. This role will be instrumental in building and scaling a learning culture that supports operational excellence, enhances employee performance, and aligns with our strategic goals. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of the multifamily industry and excels at developing engaging training content for team members at all levels—from onsite associates to senior leadership.
Essential Job Functions
Design, develop, and implement training programs focused on property operations, customer service, sales/leasing, compliance, and leadership development. Deliver engaging in-person and virtual training sessions for new hires, existing team members, and high-potential talent. Partner with department heads (Operations, HR, Accounting, Marketing, Product Development) to identify training needs and develop solutions that address skill gaps and business objectives. Maintain and continuously improve learning materials, SOPs, e-learning modules, and job aids. Oversee the training calendar and coordinate logistics for company-wide training events, onboarding sessions, and leadership workshops. Maintain and manage a learning management system (LMS) to track training progress, participation, and completion. Measure training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics. Stay current on multifamily trends, technologies, and compliance requirements to ensure training programs remain relevant and effective. Support change management initiatives by developing training aligned with new systems, processes, and technologies. Coach and mentor regional and operations leaders on training delivery best practices / Train the Trainer Travel to properties for management takeovers to facilitate employee onboarding/training and Operation setup
Education And Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Business, or related field. 5+ years of experience in training, learning & development, or operations within the multifamily industry. Proven experience developing and delivering training programs to diverse audiences across corporate and site-level teams. Strong understanding of multifamily operations, including leasing, resident relations, maintenance, and compliance. Excellent presentation, facilitation, and instructional design skills. Proficiency with LMS platforms, Microsoft Office, and e-learning tools (e.g., Articulate, Adobe Captivate, Canva). Proficiency with RealPage (AIRM, OPS, Financial Suite, Facilities, Knock) and Yardi (RentCafe) Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications in instructional design, adult learning (e.g., CPLP, ATD), or training delivery. Experience with virtual training tools (e.g., Zoom, MS Teams, Webex). Spanish or multilingual abilities are a plus.
Base Salary Range
The expected base salary range for this position is between $100,000 and $120,000 The actual salary offered may differ based on several factors, such as education and experience. Additionally, this role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.
