American Traveler is seeking an IV-certified LPN with recent hospital orthopedic trauma experience and a valid NH or Compact license for a 36-bed adult surgical unit with D/N rotation.
Job Details
•Position is in a 36-bed adult surgical unit caring for orthopedic, trauma, general surgery, plastics, and COVID surgical patients, •Unit serves as the surgical COVID unit and medicine overflow for patients with Cystic Fibrosis, •Patient diagnoses include orthopedic injuries, trauma, traumatic brain injuries, spinal injuries, skin grafts, and complex rehabilitation cases, •Level I Trauma Center experience is preferred; recent Level II experience is acceptable, •Team nursing model with 2 RNs, 1 LPN, and 1 LNA per team, •Typical LNA patient ratio is 1:12; RN ratios are 1:4 on days and 1:5 on nights, •Rotating day/night shifts, 36 hours per week, •Unit features negative pressure rooms for airborne isolation cases such as TB or shingles, •No local candidates accepted; must reside at least 75 miles from facility,
Job Requirements
•Current NH LPN license or Compact license with proof of state residency required if applicable, •BLS certification required, •Minimum 1.5 years of clinical experience required, •Minimum 1 year of recent hospital experience within the past 3-5 years required, •Must be IV certified by assignment start date, •Recent Level I or comparable Level II trauma experience within the past 2 years required, •Orthopedic trauma experience required,
