The CSS Technician is responsible for receiving, cleaning, processing, assembly and distribution of medical supplies, equipment and surgical instruments. The CSS Technician is responsible for acquiring, distributing and charging for all disposable supplies and patient rental equipment. Prepares, assembles and packages all medical equipment and instruments for surgery and other hospital departments including the restocking of code carts where applicable. Sterilizes all reusable equipment, supplies and instrumentation, and maintains and operates Central Sterile equipment. Handles, transports and stores sterile equipment, instruments and supplies and pulls supplies and instruments for surgical cases using the case cart system. Helps direct the workflow in Central Sterile Supply, setting priorities and meeting deadlines for the department. Experience Required - Previous experience as a CSS technician. Education Required
High School Graduate or GED. Licensure Required
