The ideal candidate will have strong clinical judgment, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care to patients with urgent and emergent medical needs. Facility Overview: * Duke LifePoint Hospital * 355-bed acute care facility * Home to specialized centers including: * Frye Regional Brain Center * Cancer Center * Heart Center * Lung Center * Orthopedics * General & Vascular Surgery * Surgical Weight Loss * Women's Center * Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) * Emergency Department: 32 beds * Inpatient Rehabilitation: 29 beds * Surgical Suite: 15 beds * Imaging services available * Frye South Campus includes an 81-bed adult Behavioral Health Hospital Key Responsibilities: * Deliver direct patient care in the Emergency Department * Triage and assess patients, initiating appropriate interventions * Administer medications and treatments as prescribed * Monitor and document patient progress and response to care * Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams * Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards Qualifications: * Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state eligibility * Minimum of 2 years recent ER experience in an acute care setting * Current BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS and TNCC preferred) * Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills * Ability to adapt quickly and work independently Additional Details: * Orientation is bi-weekly * Local Rate: $42.60/hour * Candidates must reside 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for travel status Contract Type: * Travel assignment Lifepoint Job ID 6-943502.
