Adult Inpatient Behavioral Health Position Summary:
Brattleboro Retreat is seeking a dedicated and experienced
Registered Nurse (RN)
to join our
Adult Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit
on a temporary night shift assignment. This position is a 13-week contract with guaranteed weekly hours and the opportunity to work in a nationally respected behavioral health facility. As an RN in our inpatient psychiatric setting, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, recovery-oriented care to adult patients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Qualifications:
Required: Current RN license or eligibility to obtain Vermont RN license. Minimum of
5 years RN experience , including
recent inpatient psychiatric experience (within past 3 months) . Current
BLS (AHA)
certification or willingness to obtain. Experience with behavioral health patient populations must be clearly documented on resume. Willingness to float to other units and accept charge assignments. Must be available to work every other weekend.
Preferred: CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) Certification (will be provided onsite if not current). Experience as a travel nurse. Submission Requirements: Updated resume with behavioral health experience and patient age groups listed. Completed psychiatric nursing skills checklist (within the past year). Two supervisory references from the past two years. Driver’s license or current address (mandatory for compliance). Confirmation of licensure eligibility. Compensation and Terms: Overtime: Paid at the same hourly rate Holiday/Call-Back Rate: 1.25x hourly rate (minimum 2 hours for call-back)
